A report by BeyondTrust indicates that of all the Windows 7 vulnerabilities reported in Microsoft’s security bulletins throughout 2009, in 90% of cases the threat is reduced if administrator rights are withdrawn. Microsoft has claimed that it has sold 90 million copies of its operating system since it launched to manufacturers in July 2009.
