The Problem Steps Recorder makes it easier to report issues.
Windows 7 features a useful Problem Steps Recorder that you can use to get help with issues you’re having with your PC. To get started, type PSR into the Start menu search box and hit Enter. The Problem Steps Recorder interface will appear on screen, and you can click Start Record to begin. The utility doesn’t record a video, but rather takes snapshots whenever you do something significant, thus building up a step-by-step guide to the issues you’re having. You can make use of the Add Comment option as you go if you’d like to include an annotation with any of the steps.
When you’ve successfully recorded all of the steps that are required, click Stop Record. You’ll be prompted to select a location and filename for the new archive that contains your guide. After the resulting file has been uncompressed, it can be viewed in any Web browser – whoever is helping you troubleshoot issues with your PC can check through the steps, see where you’re going wrong and hopefully make some suggestions about what you can try and do next.
