PC Utilities review:
In 2003, sales of digital cameras surpassed those of film cameras for the first time. It's not hard to see why - the immediacy, flexibility and low ongoing costs of digital photography make it far more appealing to most people than working with film. To really make the most of a digital camera though, you need a computer and some decent image editing software, which is why in the last few years we've seen an explosion in the number of packages available.
Since its original appearance roughly a decade ago, Serif PhotoPlus has been at the vanguard of photo editing software, combining a broad selection of powerful tools with a surprising ease of use. Whether you want to colour-correct an image, have fun warping family photographs, or even draw your own artwork from scratch, PhotoPlus is up to the task.
Whilst the program interface might initially seem a little daunting, don't be discouraged. Simply hovering over an icon will display a description of its function in the status bar at the bottom of the screen, and there's an excellent built-in Help function should you need it.
Free Registration Required: This version of Serif PhotoPlus 7 is a full version, but you'll need to register the program to continue using it after 30 days. Registering is quick and easy. On the splash screen which appears when you first load the program, click the Register Now button, then make a note of the installation number and promotion code shown. Give Serif a call on the free telephone number for your region (also shown on this screen) and quote the codes in order to receive the activation code. Alternatively, you can register online by visiting www.serif.com/support/registration.asp.
