Windows comes supplied with drivers for many widely-used hardware devices, but it's a fair bet these don't cover every component and peripheral attached to your PC. What's more, the drivers supplied as part of your operating system's installation may be severely outdated compared to the up-to-date versions you're currently using. Should you ever need to reinstall the OS, therefore, you'll need to hunt out all these drivers again in order to get up and running.
You can save yourself a great deal of time and effort by backing up your drivers before you reinstall the OS. DriverMax helps to make this a pain-free process by building up a list of all the drivers on your system, which you can then back up to a location of your choice. It's possible to select exactly which drivers to back up, and these can later be reinstalled with ease from the Install Drivers button on the main menu.
