PC Utilities review:

Creating backups is rarely an enjoyable task, but it's a necessary evil if you want to avoid losing vital data. A decent backup tool can help take the pain out of the process though, and Snap Backup certainly qualifies as a suitable painkiller for home users.

The program's functions can all be accessed from one self-explanatory information screen. At the top of the dialog, you can select the files and folders you wish to add to your backup set. Further down, you can select where you wish the resultant .zip file containing your backup files to be stored. Once you've configured these options, you can run the process by clicking the Do Backup Now button.

The current backup options can be saved so you don't need to enter them manually each time. It's also possible to set up multiple backup profiles, though this option needs to be enabled from the File menu before you can use it. These additional features help to make Snap Backup a more powerful tool, though the lack of a scheduling facility limits its overall usefulness.
