PC Utilities review:

TweakLite Assorted offers a very narrow selection of hacks for customising your system, but amongst these are some of the most useful you'll find in any of the applications in our round-up. For example, many people turn to complex applications like Microsoft's Tweak UI PowerToy to remove the shortcut arrows displayed over icons on the desktop. With TweakLite, you can perform this registry hack in just a few simple clicks, and return the arrows just as easily.

The program also enables you to tweak the items listed in the Send To context menu, and you can even change the default system font used by Windows. Perhaps the most useful function is the ability to tweak the registry to enable Internet Explorer and Outlook Express to be reinstalled. This can prove very useful if Windows insists you have the latest versions and won't let you install fresh working versions.

There's no denying that TweakLite Assorted is a modest tweaking tool compared to some of the behemoths available, but its usability and useful options make it a handy alternative to the competition.
