PC Utilities review:

Any hopes we might have had of overcoming spam with stricter legislation now seem drastically over-optimistic. The best email users can do is ensure they have decent software in place to filter out this ever-present menace. Spamihilator is a tool designed to filter out just such annoyances and offers plenty of options for dealing with spam. These include a spam statistic utility enabling you to see just how much spam you've encountered recently.

The program's key component is an intelligent learning filter which calculates a Spam-Probability factor for every email. By training the filter to identify specific words associated with spam (such as 'bargain price!' or 'hotnhorny') the program's recognition rate will improve, the more it encounters these types of messages.

Unlike some spam filtering software, Spamihilator isn't overcrowded with complicated and unnecessary features. Its maker claims it's capable of filtering more than 98% of spam, and if true, those encountering heavy spam are likely to find the program a godsend.

PinkFloyd says: I get lots of spam so I tried this and it works ok but it does take a while before it makes much difference. But when it does then it will cut down on the spam you get, which is very cool. (25/04/2006)
