PC Utilities review:

Rubber Ducky is a charming system monitor, which has the added benefit of brightening up your desktop. Once installed, it adds a little duck and pond graphic to the lower right-hand side corner of your screen. At first glance this may appear to be a pointless if pleasant image, but it's actually very useful and will tell you everything you need to know about how efficiently your system is functioning.

The interface uses cartoon imagery to symbolise different areas of your system. For example, the water level represents the amount of RAM currently being used. CPU activity is shown by bubbles rising from the pond bed, which increase in number as your computer carries out more operations. You can even track network traffic - the fish swimming to the right are data sent and those swimming the opposite way are received information.

User reviews:

Rexbo says: I love my Rubber Ducky. Of all the so called gadgets i've tried, this is by far my favorite. It's not going to do anything you don't want or can't understand. I have sent it on to all my mates who are into PC's and have had nothing but positive feedback. the great thing about it is after you've gone click, click, click and your PC is going whir, whir, grind, grind, while you wait you now have something to look at that gives some idea what is going on inside your magic box and if there are problems brewing. Rubber Ducky takes up only a tiny space on your desktop and on your hard drive and i highly recommend you make room for this fine feathered friend. (27/12/2006)
