To celebrate reaching our 50th issue we’ve put together a stunning selection of software. What’s more it’s all free, because whatever you want to do with your computer there’s almost certainly a freeware or open source program to do the job.
No longer is free software a second rate alternative, you’ll find that many of the programs on this issue’s DVD are every bit as good as the commercial equivalents costing hundreds of pounds.
We’ve put some old friends on the disc — look out for the logo indicating our Top 50, the programs that are our particular favourites. But there’s plenty of new software included too, so whatever your needs you’re almost certain to find something in this issue that you’ll want to use.
